Photography simulation

Getting your head around shooting in manual may be a little daunting to those used to shooting in Auto, however help is at hand.  Firstly Shoot Me Studios runs a Photography 101 course specifically designed to help enthusiasts go from Auto to Manual.  The course details can be found on our website.  Like any course, you need to use what you learn – use it or lose it…so I can come across this very useful link to a Camera Simulation application which lets you play with your settings without taking your camera out or stepping outside your home.  http://camerasim.com/camera-simulator/

Have fun.

The Fixer

It was one of my clients that told me today that a local photography studio based in Aylesbury was featured on last night’s ‘The Fixer’…well, thank goodness for catch up TV.

Now, you are probably wondering why on earth I would be promoting this TV programme featuring one of my competitors and a struggling studio.

Well, last Summer, just after 12 months of the launch of ‘Shoot Me Studios’ we were contacted by the production company that produce ‘The Fixer’ series to help provide insight into how I have managed to run a successful Studio here in Berkhamsted. They were indeed impressed by all the innovation they found – our photography workshops, community work, alliances, portrait and boudoir studio photography work.

This recognition was such a boost. Although, I’m often here from 5.30 am and delivering photos to customers at their home out of normal business hours.  The Fixer production company recognised that we “GOT IT RIGHT”, and I feel very optimistic for the future of my photography business.  The key to success is hard work and commitment to your customers.

So I hope that some of my advice & insight provided as part of the research for the show will help the studio succeed and wish them well for the future.

Because I love my customers…

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day and because I love my customers…I worked late last night until 9:30pm (after an early start in London) finalising the images  for my clients ordered the day before, that was 79 images, printable to 10×8 inches, on disk, blemishes removed, crisp white background, capturing all the fun of family life.

The disk was delivered and the client was delighted.

You too can be a delighted customer…to find out how give us a call on 01442 869099 or email us at enquiry@shootmestudios.co.uk
